A very brief collection of tips on how to survive in Minecraft. The book is short, which should make it a nice read for kids interested in Minecraft. I realize the book is modeled after WW2-esque survival books for soldiers abroad, where brevity and portability are crucial, but I was hoping for a bit more. Given that goal of being a 'survival handbook' rather than a fully fleshed-out guide, the book never goes into too much detail about how to do things; it is more about planting the idea of doing something, rather than giving a step-by-step guide--although it does have some nice instructional drawings that complement the text.As brief as the book is, a sizable chunk of the book is dedicated to combat--fighting and tricking other players or mobs. I would've preferred that same level of dedication to other aspects of the game, like mining, farming, exploration and map-making, redstone and automation, village and villager mechanics (including breeding and trading), the Nether, and the End, all of which were either only briefly mentioned or not mentioned at all.That said, I do recommend the book. I love the matte/textured feel and color of the hardcover, and I think it looks nice on a bookshelf.
Hi I'm the weird guy that still likes Minecraft I'm here to point out some errors that the book might have had:- Most of the info on this book might be helpful for people that play Minecraft on PC or MAC- There are no shields on Minecraft Xbox Edition or Minecraft PS4 or the Kindle fire Minecraft- The cool banners like the skeleton head on it is on The Original Minecraft Xbox and the PC/MAC-Most of the tips revolve around multiplayer or PVP-And there is no such thing as the survivorsI hate to be a big bummer but I had to point out facts, but still this would be great for your young ones to read and enjoyI hope you found this helpful!
My 8 year old adores this book. Although he has several others he is constantly using this one.
This was a great book! My son loved it. "Amazingly well drawn, well written, nicely furnished. I loved it, and the tips were extremely good, helpful, and not widely known. It's good to have not-widely known secrets known to you because you can use these to help you make and raid bases. I'd recommend this to all my Minecrafter friends!"
My son LOVES this book. He carries it around with him everywhere And is always telling me things he learned in it.
Although the kids have other Minecraft books I'm glad to report they learned some new tricks.
Just got it today! I thougth it was a little small for its size! But great looking cover. I am on page 50 rigth now. I gotta say this book is great and had some facts i didnt know. I mostly bougth this for pvp facts. Great book! Would recmmond to any fan of the game!
My 7 year old son seemed to really enjoy this little book. He reads any Minecraft material he can get his hands on.
