This isn't complete sous vide cookbook and written in the way that doesn't have even any conclusion part, and many of the recipes has wrong nutritional info, so if you have any diet to follow, you will need to count by yourself.

This cookbook is very informative. It has lots of good tips and tricks. It has also got over 200 recipes in there. I'm definitely looking forward to trying some of these.

Looks easy.... Wish it was a little more detailed..... So easy it seems like I'm doing it wrong. I wish it would explain the power settings better so I could figure time better for my own recipes.

Great for a beginner. There are some typos in the beginning of the book. A little more explanation on temperatures, food safety, and food pasteurization would be helpful to those who are being exposed to sous vide for the first time. Even though times and temperatures are listed for each recipe, a couple of comprehensive charts on times and temperatures for various food items would be welcome. A chart on time, temperatures, and pasteurization would also be a great asset to those who are new to sous vide and are weary with the lower cooking temperatures for meat and poultry that they might be used to. Some sources for where to purchase home sous vide equipment would be helpful. There are plenty of recipes included in this book. I have not had the time to make any yet, but have read several of them, and they look to be quite appetizing. I am looking forward to trying several of the recipes in the near future. This book was given to me for an unpaid review.

Let me preface this review with two things. First I am a professional cook and culinary school graduate. Second I received this book as an ARC.This is a well written cook book. Sous vide cooking has always interested me but the cost of an immersion circulater has been prohibitive on a cook's salary. Martha Scott explains the process very clearly. She understands that most of her audience may not even know what sous vide is and explains what it is, how it works and why its worth trying out, in a way that even a beginner can understand. The recipes are organized in a very easy to access manner. They are clearly written. The author has included number of servings and nutritional information as well. The book is very thorough as cookbooks go. I just might save some money towards the purchase of an immersion circulater now!

This is a very good introduction to cooking in the Sous Vide style.I've been familiar with the technique for years now, but finally took the plunge and this book by Martha Scott was a comprehensive guide to Sous Vide. Basically, its low and slow cooking in a water bath.Of course, careful care to temperature and proper food handling techniques will need to be followed.But i found it easy to do and the 200 recipes was a great start.I'm not a fancy cook, just willing to try different techniques and this was almost fool-proof.My two favorites were the Chicken Salad and Chicken Paprikish.Recommend.I voluntarily reviewed this book.

I received this book for free and have read it and am voluntarily reviewing it. Thanks!This book offers an amazing array of recipes for any occasion and with many varied ingredients. The author's enthusiasm for the process of Sous Vide cooking really comes through and makes this method of cooking approachable and do-able for the novice. I was actually thinking about learning more about sous vide cooking when I came across this book and I'm excited to try it soon.I found the "chicken" and beef chapters to be most inviting - I need to make "Ethiopian-Style Berbere Chicken"!

This was a great cookbook with quite a bit of information on the style of cooking as well as recipes, including offerings for vegan dishes. I tried out one of the chicken dishes and it was excellent, as well as one of the chocolate dessert recipes which was equally yummy. The biggest downside to me was that most of the recipes call for at least 3-5 hours of prep, which, while I understand given the type of food, is still a bit much for pretty much every recipe in the cookbook. I received a copy of this for an honest review.
