I bought this book for my six year old granddaughter, she wanted a special Grammy/ granddaughter book, although I thought we'd had several over the years this one let me tell her she has always been perfect in my eyes and always will because she is just who I wished for. I snapped pictures of the text on my phone and left the book for her but told her she could call me any time and I would read it to her. It's a precious book to share with your grand littles and should be read often.
This chunky board book is the perfect gift for a new grandchild. This book not only brought tears to my eyes, it actually had me sobbing! Having a tiny Preemie grandson in the NICU, the sentiments almost brought me to my knees. We have been so thankful for every ounce gained, and teeny tiny positive signs. You will not regret selecting this book for your new grandchild, and it will be cherished forever.
I LOVE this book! Reading it the first time brought tears to my eyes. I'm meeting my new grandson in a few days and can't wait to take this book to him. I know he won't understand it for quite awhile, but Nana is going to read it to him anyway!
Grandma Wishes: Children's Board Book is not a regular board book, it has a soft cover. The illustrations in this book are simple and beautiful, with bright colors to attract baby's attention. I have never managed to read it all the way through, to my granddaughter. The words are so beautiful, my voice cracks and my eyes fill with tears. I love it! I will keep practicing, and maybe soon I can read it without tears.
My mom is very close to my kids. She is their only grandma so I like finding "grandma" specific things. This story is lovely. It rhymes (which we like). It is about a grandma's tender love for her grandbabies. I hope she likes it! It's a Christmas gift for her from my little kids.
This book is thicker than I thought it would be. I like that. It's a gift for a grandma. But, I love the story line myself. It's a beautiful book with beautiful pictures.
I cannot recommend this book enough! I helped my elderly grandmother do her Christmas shopping, and purchased it for her 2 year old great grandson. It looked cute and like a nice gift to give him. When the book came and we opened it, I was so impressed by the pictures, the story and the message. It's such a sweet and special gift for a grandmother to give a grandchild. There is also a page to sign it in the front, which makes it a special keepsake.
Purchased this for my 2 year old granddaughter. She is adopted and we talk about her arrival, birth family, etc. We waited a very long time for her and this book brought tears to my eyes! Yes, your Grandmama wished on a star....and got you! â¤ï¸
