I'm an Australian living in USA. I purchased this book for the kids to read on our last trip back to Australia. It has a lot of fun and interesting facts. When we got back to the States my kids did a study on Australia with their book Club. This book was their preferred resource over the books we found in the library,In case your interested my kids are 8 and 10. The 10 YO is an advanced ready and the 8 YO is a struggling reader and they both enjoyed the book.
This is not a book for kids to learn about Australia. None of the Not for Parents books are. Perhaps an older teen might get something out of it, but I can't use these. I wanted to use them as a resource for our study of the continents, but there's no way that's going to work. I'm really disappointed.
For a young granddaughter who went with her family to Australia for Thanksgiving this year. She loves it, but has to get away from her Mom first! It is a book that you really can't put down.
Perfect for my grandson in the 3rd grade. The quality of the photos is excellent. My grandson is using this book as one of his references for a school project. I highly recommend this book.

We're going to Australia for 4 months and bought this for our 11 year old son. He read it cover to cover. He loves fact books (like Ripley's Believe It or Not or the Guiness Book of World records). It has lots of information about Australia in short blurbs.
Great book! My 10 and 8 year olds are loving this and learning tons! Can't wait for them to see these places in person.
