Awesome book!
This particular book which is part of a line of short True Crime anthologies was pretty good. It covered a few very high profile cases as well as some obscure ones. I can't believe how many of them had a link to my home state and city, (former Governor Celeste, shame on you for the death row inmates you pardoned/commuted on your way out the door...showing such thanks to the judges and juries who labored during the trials). Anyway, the story of Toni Jo in Louisiana is the basis of a fiction book called "A Savage Wisdom" which I read years ago and greatly enjoyed. The movie "Monster" is really good and worth watching if you missed it a decade or so ago. Lastly, all the books about Darlie Routier are worth reading because they offer very different points of view on her guilt or innocence. And for all of you baby killers out there? I hope and pray your remaining years are Hell on Earth and that it follows you into your afterlife. (Spit).
This book was very well written but I do wish that it was pretty much just a re-write of his other books. The only difference between Hell hath no fury 5-6, is that all the women are on death row. So most of these cases Les MacDonald has already written about. And yea, I did know that when I started reading it but I was hoping for at least a few new stories and there were not any! Also for some reason both book 5 and 6 were messed up. I couldn't read number 5 at all because every other page was just blank and missing and with the 6th book the bonus book was in huge letters and it repeated the first part three times!!! I really hope this is addressed and fixed asap! As these books do cost some of us!! But I can't complain much but it will effect if I continue to read from this author cause I'm not going to waste time or money for a book I can not enjoy or finish! I hope this is addressed and please let me know if and when it is! As I have enjoyed reading his books and don't want to quit following or reading it! As I have said this author is very talented and I would love to read one new and complete books....Hope this is fixed asap!!!!
Some of these crimes defy belief. That they were committed by women is even more incredible. That is doubly true for the crimes against small children.All of the stories in this book are interesting and informative. I look forward to more works by this author.82
